What is teleradiology?

Teleradiology is the process of transmitting and receiving digital radiology images from one point to another through a secure digital network. The transmission of images is performed using advanced computer systems using internet. Through teleradiology, images can be sent to another part of the hospital, or anywhere in the world. Teleradiology is a means of electronically transmitting radiographic patient images and consultative text from one location to another.

What is DICOM?

DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) is a standard that is the framework for medical-imaging communication.

Who will read our studies?

All studies are read by one or more of our consultant radiologists. In addition, subspecialists will read studies according to their area of expertise.

How long will it take to get my reports?

Depending on your needs, we can turn reports around in as little as 5 - 10 minutes in emergency.

How will you send my report?

In addition, you can access reports via our secure server. The password-protected entry can be found on our interface that we provide to our clients.

Where do your radiologists read from?

Our radiologists work from their homes or our dedicated centre and all of us speak English as their primary language.

How will I receive my reports?

You can access your reports via a secure login to our PACS which is provided by Teleradiology Providers. Our reports have special software to provide key images on the report and aid the referring physician’s understanding of the process.

How do I get started?

Get in touch with us – We will answer your questions, get to know your needs and develop a proposal for you Once we have agreed, discussion with our IT team to evaluate your current technology and what will be needed for teleradiology Our IT team will remotely connect your centre to our dedicated server and we our team can start reporting for you. Usually it takes less than 3-4 days to get started. Remote training for your technical staff Continued training for staff when needed

What coverage hours are offered?

We offer 24x7 coverage every day of the year.

What would be the cost of the services?

Normally we charge per case and our rates are very competitive. Alternatively, we can discuss a package based on the average monthly flow of work at your hospital or diagnostic center and arrive at a fixed package regardless of the number and timing of your studies. The reporting turnaround times shall not be affected and it would definitely prove to be more economical for you.

Is Teleradiology Reliable Compared to Conventional Radiology?

The essential difference between both is the presence of radiologists on site. In conventional radiology practice, the radiologist is present physically at the site of imaging, whereas in teleradiology, the images are interpreted remotely by a radiologist who is not present at the site where the images are generated.
